VAIL, Colo., February 6, 2024—The Taste of Vail, one of the nations top food and wine festivals that features Vail Valley’s iconic backdrop, is returning to Vail for its 32nd year April 3-6, 2024. The Taste of Vail includes daily signature events, wine seminars, wine dinners and some of the best spring skiing in the country, a spring event not to be missed.
Top winemakers from 58 top wineries in the northern hemisphere have been invited to pour their wines alongside food pairings from Vail’s premier chefs. A daily signature Taste of Vail event will headline each day and feature renown guest chefs from the U.S. and Mexico. New this year the Taste of Vail is also offering special gala opening and closing dinners on the first and last evening of the festival. “As we enter into our 32nd year, the Taste of Vail is continually elevating the culinary experience at our event. Not only can guests enjoy the majestic backdrop of our beloved town but also experience new tastes, flavors and education from our world-class wine and culinary
stars,” said Angela Mueller, executive director of Taste of Vail. “This year we are excited to offer new wine dinners to open and close our event featuring top chefs in the Vail Valley and some of the most sought after wines in the world. We are thrilled to welcome you to Vail this spring.”

Debut of Rosé, Wednesday April 3, 3:00-6:00 pm: Sip just released 2023 rosés for the first time and over 100 Rosé varietals. Rosé wine is the liquid component of the much-celebrated lifestyle of Mediterranean France. It is just recently enjoying similar recognition in the U.S. As a category, Rosé wines embrace an immense diversity of styles and flavors from Semi sweet to off-dry to bone-dry (very dry), and even sparkling Rosés.
NEW: Opening Celebration Wine Dinner at the Sonnenalp Hotel, Wednesday April 3, 6:00-8:00 pm
Experience an unforgettable intimate evening of fine dining and exquisite wines at the Sonnenalp Hotel. Indulge in a delightful culinary experience with Executive Chef Joshua Marshall who will work with Guests chefs to prepare a delectable menu paired by Sonnenalp Sommelier Zachary Lewison with the perfect Taste of Vail wines to enhance your dining pleasure.
Après Tasting on the Streets of Vail, Thursday April 4, 3:00-6:00 pm: Taste over 22 chefs and guest chef tastings along with over 55 wineries, beer and spirits. The event includes outdoor tastings in the iconic streets of Vail with a culinary challenge among chefs creating their best. Guests can also sample and vote on the People’s Choice award.
Mountain Top Tasting, Friday, April 5, 12:00-2:30 pm: Join Taste of Vail for the crème de la crème of outdoor tastings. Held at 10,350 feet above sea level, this event offers spectacular mountain vistas accompanied by gourmet food, beer, wine and spirits. Snow or shine this crowd-favorite event is not to be missed.
2023 Grand Tasting: Saturday, April 6, 5:00-8:00 pm: The Grand Tasting is the culmination of the four-day event, with Vail chefs showcasing their most creative fare alongside wineries from across the country serving their best and most current vintages.
NEW: Closing Celebration Dinner , April 6: 7:00 -9:00 pm: To culminate the Taste of Vail week, join Grazing Fox, guest chef Josh Adams from Campione (Livingston, Montana) and Executive Chef James London from Chubby Fish (Charleston, South Carolina). Both Chefs are James Beard Award Semi finalists for Best Chef Category in their regions.
Accompanying these events are seminars hosted by celebrated experts in the wine industry, wine dinners and additional special wine dinners which will be announced in the coming weeks.
Taste of Vail has partnered with CHOW, an organization that supports wellness within the hospitality industry and improves the lives of our community through shared stories, skills, and resources. CHOW representatives will be on-site at all Taste of Vail signature events where attendees can learn more about how they are working to make impactful changes to support workers and veterans in the food, beverage and hospitality community. Additionally, Taste of Vail attendees can make an optional donation to CHOW when purchasing Taste of Vail tickets.
